Residence Permit

Course attendance for third – country students, that is non EU students, is governed by the Law 7(I)/2019.

According to the aforementioned Law, the residence permit in Cyprus for study purposes is revoked or not renewed when the student does not make satisfactory progress in his / her relevant studies and specifically:
  • When the student does not successfully complete the foundation course
  • When the student does not attend or does not regularly attend the courses of each academic year
  • When the student does not complete his / her program of study at the specified time, increased by 50%.
It is noted that a residence permit due to a change of the Educational Institution or the program of study, it is granted after assessment of the case by the Competent Authority.
